Stacey Thompson - Veteran - Assistant Creative Arts Director
Stacey Thompson did not grow up knowing that she wanted to be an visual artist. In fact, she spent most of her adolescence into her adulthood expressing herself through poetry. Growing up she spent a lot of time watching and learning from her Grandmother Irene, who was an accomplished artist. It wasn't until the passing of her beloved Grandmother in 2011 that Stacey discovered her passion for visual artwork.
Stacey is a proud mother of three, MST survivor and advocate and United States Marine Corps Veteran. Stacey graduated with honors and earned her Master's of Science Degree in 2014 from the California University of Pennsylvania. She is a published author, accomplished motivational speaker, and performance poet. She currently resides with her children in Oceanside, California and enjoys surfing with them whenever possible.
